About Susan
I grew up curious. The kind of person who reads constantly, asks a lot of questions, and can't help connecting ideas across completely unrelated fields. That instinct has shaped everything I've done and eventually led me to build something I couldn't find anywhere else.
For nearly a decade I served as the CEO of a multi-million dollar organization dedicated to bringing together leaders, systems, and communities around shared goals. I hold a Master's degree in Public and Non-Profit Administration and have spent over twenty years working at the intersection of systems change, public policy, and organizational development. My real education though has always happened in the margins, through books, podcasts, and paying close attention to what actually works and why.
This work didn't emerge from a classroom. It emerged from a life fully lived, including the hard parts. In 2022, my husband Satish passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at the age of 38. I also live with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a chronic genetic condition that requires daily attention to how I care for my body. Both experiences taught me that the connection between mind, body, and soul is not a concept. It is a practice.
I live in Olympia, Washington with my son Kushal, who is 12 and takes his soccer very seriously. We are devoted Sounders fans, avid skiers, and true Pacific Northwesterners who will find any excuse to be outside. I write every week without fail.
This work is personal in every sense of the word. If any of it resonates, I'd love to continue the conversation.
