Becoming We: Organizations
Every organization has a pattern. It shows up in how decisions get made, how conflict gets handled, and how closely day-to-day behavior matches the mission and values the organization claims to hold. Most leaders sense when something is off. Fewer know exactly what to do about it.
That's where this work begins.
We start with a comprehensive assessment, grounded in the Becoming We Framework, mapping how your organization thinks, decides, and operates beneath the surface. From there, we build the structures and practices that allow your organization to reflect, adapt, and lead from genuine purpose.
The result is an organization with a healthy culture. One where people want to be, and results follow naturally.

How the Work Unfolds
Every engagement is unique, shaped by the size, culture, and readiness of your organization. But the work always flows through three movements, each one building on the last.
The Map
Every organization has a story it tells about itself. And a story it actually lives. The first movement is about understanding both.
Through a comprehensive organizational assessment, we map the organizations patterns, purpose, and the distance between them. The result is not a report. It is a living document, a snapshot of where your organization is right now, designed to be returned to, updated, and used as the foundation for everything that follows.
You can't navigate toward new ground until you know where you're starting.
The Pause
Most organizations don't lack good intentions. They lack the structures to act on them consistently.
In this movement, we build the rhythms and practices that allow your organization to see itself clearly on an ongoing basis. Regular reflection, honest conversation, and course correction become part of how the organization operates, not something done on an annual retreat. This is the organizational equivalent of neuroplasticity, building the muscle of awareness until it becomes instinct.
The pause is not a break from the work. It is the work.
New Ground
With a clear map and the structures to keep adapting, something becomes possible that wasn't before.
Decisions begin to align with purpose. Patterns that once ran automatically get interrupted and redirected. The organization starts to operate from its values, not just display them. Each shift gets written back into the Map through the Pause structures, updating the snapshot and marking the new ground.
Over time, the three movements become a self sustaining system. The organization learns to rewire itself, as needed, from the inside.
This is what organizational health actually looks like in practice.
The Outcomes
A healthy and integrated organization doesn't happen by accident. It is built, deliberately and over time, by people who are willing to look honestly at how they operate and commit to something better.
By the end of the engagement, your organization will have:
A clear and honest map of the organizations patterns, purpose, and values
Documented processes for reflection, honest conversation, and course correction
A framework for making decisions that align with mission rather than habit or fear
Tools for leadership to name and interrupt collective patterns
A format for meetings and conversations that bring out the best in every voice
A living system for continued growth that's sustainable
About Susan
I spent nearly a decade as the CEO of a multi-million dollar organization bringing together leaders, systems, and communities around shared goals. Before that, I worked at the intersection of systems change, public policy, and organizational development. I hold a Master's degree in Public and Non-Profit Administration.
The Becoming We framework didn't emerge from a classroom. It emerged from two decades of working alongside committed people trying to figure out how to move together, and paying close attention to what worked and what didn't.
One of the things I bring to every engagement is the ability to translate complex ideas from neuroscience, organizational behavior, and human development into something immediately practical. My clients tell me regularly that one of my greatest gifts is making complicated things feel suddenly clear.
